Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-07-07
FFMI Check ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at ffmicheck.com. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have.
Short version
- We do not require accounts. We do not ask for your email.
- Every calculator on this site runs 100% in your browser. Your height, weight, body fat, age, gender, and any other input you type into a calculator never leaves your device.
- We use Google Analytics 4 to see anonymous, aggregate traffic patterns (which countries visitors come from, which pages are viewed).
- We do not sell or share any data with third parties.
What we collect
Data you type into calculators
Nothing. Every calculation runs client-side in JavaScript inside your browser. We never see, log, or store the numbers you enter. If you refresh the page, the inputs are gone.
Anonymous analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) with IP anonymization enabled. GA4 collects:
- Approximate geographic location (country and city — never precise address)
- Device type, browser, operating system, and screen size
- Referrer URL (the page you came from)
- Pages you visit on ffmicheck.com and how long you stay
- Interaction events (which calculators you use, without the values)
Google Analytics does not collect personally identifiable information. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-Out browser add-on.
Contact form
If you use the contact form, it opens your email client with a pre-filled message to [email protected]. You choose whether to send it. We store contact emails in our inbox only.
Cookies
We use one first-party cookie set by Google Analytics (_ga) to distinguish unique visitors. This cookie contains a random identifier and no personal information. It expires after two years.
We do not use tracking pixels, retargeting cookies, or advertising cookies at this time.
Third-party services
- Google Analytics — anonymous traffic measurement
- Cloudflare — content delivery network and DDoS protection. Cloudflare processes your IP address to route requests. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
Your rights
Because we do not collect personally identifiable information, most data protection requests (access, deletion, portability) do not apply. If you have questions or want us to remove GA4 data associated with your device, contact us and we will do our best to help.
Advertising (future)
We may add contextual advertising through Google AdSense or a similar network in the future. When we do, this policy will be updated with details on the ad partners used, cookies they set, and how to opt out. We will not run intrusive interstitial ads, popups, or auto-playing video ads.
Children
FFMI Check is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, the "Last updated" date at the top will change. Material changes will be noted in the site footer for at least 30 days.
